A Writer’s Story About Getting Boosted — Gets Boosted!

Bend over and hold onto your ankles, folks, for this latest bit of Medium flimflam.
I’m sporting a self-satisfied smirk as I write this because I feel as if I’ve stumbled upon the Holy Grail of confirmations that the whole boosting thing is indeed — bullshit!
Just minutes ago, after publishing my latest Rogues’ Gallery piece, I scrolled through my Poopium feed and spotted a mercifully brief story by a writer who was recently boosted and wanted to share her “good fortune.”
No shade on this writer as she’s probably a lovely human being, and if having her work validated by a bunch of virtual strangers who may be pinheads for all we know, is a reason to celebrate, good for her.
Until, that is, I scrolled to the bottom of her story to see an “Update” proclaiming that, her story about being boosted, was also boosted!
WTF.
Yes! That very story about being boosted — was boosted!
So much for “quality.”
