Alex, Tell Us How You Do It, PLEASE
On gaining thousands of followers in the blink of an eye
Now and then, we all need a bit of help. For instance, I’ve been stagnating on Medium for a while. This is partly because the platform is a shadow of what it was when I signed up over six years ago, and also, I’m growing weary of watching my stories tank, so I’ve grown a bit lazy.
Recently, I stumbled upon a writer who admittedly, I don’t read as he squirts out listicles such as (INSERT NUMBER) of ways to (INSERT VAGUE OR RIDICULOUSLY UNATTAINABLE GOAL) and I don’t believe such pieces have a place in the literary realm. This is merely my opinion.
That said, I have to give Alex Mathers his due because the dude has over 184k followers! Holy hell, that’s a lot especially when you consider that a few weeks ago, his follower count was around the 179k mark.
How is this possible? And is there some magical formula he’s utilizing that we could learn from?
I’ve been writing on Medium over six years and I have a paltry 5,323 followers. And I just lost four! God, I suck.
