Put your hands together for a writer whose work is an “embarrassment of riches”
“Embarrassment,” because you probably have to sift through piles of poop to find her. This is why I’m Hoisting the following story by one of my favorite Medium writers, Kathy Copeland Padden.
Kat’s intelligence shines through every piece she publishes here. In fact, in my opinion, all her stories deserve Hoists, but, I don’t have that kind of time, so fuck that.
She’s also laugh-out-loud funny. Not stupid funny, but wicked funny. My favorite kind. Moreover, many of her stories focus on the music industry and the bands, whether true rock stars, “one and doners,” or pure crap, that many of us grew up with.
Give this story a read. In fact, read a bunch of Kathy’s stories and make sure to subscribe so you’re alerted when she writes a new one, or else you’ll find yourself back in that poop pile. And it stinks there.
