Author’s note: The following piece originally appeared in my Substack, Sherry Raw. Increasingly, I feel as if I’ve been spitting in the wind, but, there is too much at stake, to give up. Not until the last vote is counted.

In this surreal election’s waning hours, nothing is left but to pull out all the stops. I refuse to live what’s left of my life in a dictatorship.

You see, I am no longer “young.” If Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for president, wins a second term, chances are good that I won’t be able to see the light at the end of this suffocating tunnel. And to stand by, silent, has never been my thing and I refuse to change now. Is it all about me? Hell, no. It’s about me and people like me, who have the mental wherewithal to understand that Trump is evil. A liar, grifter, and conman with a horrific agenda, much of which consists of exacting revenge on his detractors, like former Representative, Liz Cheney, of whom he said this in an interview with pissant, wannabe journalist Tucker Carlson:

“She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK?” the former president said at a campaign event in Glendale with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “Let’s see how she feels…
