Matthew, I’m happy to see you matriculating here with the regular schlubs on Medium, myself being one of them.

You’re one hell of an actor and your choice of roles always amazes me. Kind of like Nic Cage in that you can inhabit personas that well, are often crazy AF, but never fail to entertain.

Take The Dallas Buyers Club. Your turn as Ron Woodruff, the electrician who developed AIDS, was stunning. As was Jared Leto’s performance as transgender AIDS activist, Rayon.

It was no surprise when you were awarded an Academy Award for Best Actor. But from what I understand, the project would not have come to fruition were it not for a dude who swept in with a big ‘ole sack of money and was ultimately named one of the film’s Executive Producers.

Alright, alright, alright already. I’ll cut to the chase.

This very same dude is the “someone” we have in common! Yes! I’m not making this up.
