Hi, Elaine. Yes, I’m talking about a link and nothing else. To me, that’s flat out arrogant. Or, ignorant, take your pick. I don’t do that and expect others to show me the same respect.

As far as dropping a link as a comment on a Medium story, I guess that would depend on the story and the link in response. Some writers don’t like it, others don’t care. It’s a bit dicey.
