Author’s Note: The following piece, with some edits, recently appeared in my Substack, Sherry Raw.

I apologize for the rather stiff title. “Stiff” for me, anyway. I thought I’d scale back the heat for a bit. I’ve worn myself out railing at people who could be bots for all I know.

I’ll explain. Recently, I read a piece here stating that younger generations hate Boomers, which surprised me as I was unaware that those of us born between 1946 and 1964 elicited such negativity.

It is a badly-written, rambling diatribe by an individual who has a grudge against people of a certain age, said Baby Boomers, of which I’m one. So, I took this slanderous piece personally. And, if you read me consistently, you know what happens when that happens. I blow my stack.

Okay. I’m old. And no one gets that more than me. I prefer to think otherwise, but every time I struggle with pulling off that protective piece of foil stuck under the caps of spice jars, I’m confronted with the truth. And I’m rather strong from regular workouts. So, it’s downhill from here, I guess.

Now, I don’t mind a well-thought-out castigation if it is factual and doesn’t come from a place…
