I’m a white woman and I, too, don’t understand how this is a race issue. To me, it’s an “entitlement” issue. Smith thought he had a right to stoop to violence and slap another man. a fellow black man, in front of the entire world. There should be some sort of reasonable punishment for this dude. That said, I appreciate your perspective.
