…hink it's more that many women are finding it empowering and freeing to realize they don't HAVE TO. That they can reject an impossible "standard" of beauty and all of the efforts to try to conform to it that feel like a prison, and instead give themselves permission to see themselves as beautiful exactly the way they are.
I think perhaps you may have missed the point of many of those articles and of this "movement."
