On being scammed by Xfinity, via a security breach that leaves me chilled to the bone

I’m not going to begin this piece by telling you what you already know, but I must. This is such a fucked-up world that I can barely hold onto what remains of my sanity. If my cats didn’t depend on me, I don’t know what I’d do. Run screaming into the woods, maybe. Or, worse.

And now, I feel like an idiot as I almost fell for a scam that’s been in play since 2022.

Gullible, I’m not, rather, I’m a skeptic, but the thought of saving significant coin every month nearly led to disaster. The shit did go south, but not to the degree it could have, thanks to a savvy Walgreens cashier. Allow me to explain.

The scam in question involves a phony promotion conjured up by scumbags who don’t want to get jobs because they’re better than the rest of us schlubs.

Why work when it’s easier to defraud Xfinity/Comcast customers out of their hard-earned bucks?

So, yeah, in spite of my skeptical nature, I was scammed to the tune of $500 by fast-talking grifters claiming to be Xfinity staffers.
