“The Medium Show” Has a Game and Theme Song
Everyone, play along!

Greetings, all. As having a bit of fun is never a bad thing, I wrote the following to the tune of “Hooray for Hollywood,” by Johnny Mercer (lyrics) and Richard A. Whiting (music), as the theme for “The Medium Show.”
With all the creativity exhibited here, we deserve our own show, yeah?
I also wanted to showcase the absolute bomb illustration by my good friend dick. He’s amazing.
I hope you enjoy this bit of whimsy and feel free to contribute a verse should the inspiration strike. Let’s keep it going!
HOORAY FOR MEDIUM!
Hooray for Medium
That screwy platform where they’ll suck you in
Where any content king or budding King
Can snatch the ring
And be a flash in the pan
And any Tony
Can spout baloney
If he spouts it with or without a fan
Hooray for Medium
Where you can be the shit if you’re real bad
Where anything from the algorithm to an earnings schism
Is equally very sad
Come on and try your luck
You can even say “fuck”
Hooray for Medium
Hooray for Medium
‘Cause even with all of the tedium
They come from far and wide and here and there
Hoping for a payout that’s fair
To get their words everywhere
Some armed with AI
“That sucks,” so say I
But they use it anyway without a care
Hooray for Medium
You may be legendary in your mind
But if you think that you can be a writer
And a fierce inciter
You could still be left behind
So better pay to play
You’ll have a better day
Hooray for Medium!
