There Go Another Six Followers
I feel so cared for!
This place is a hoot and a half. No sooner do I write a story about a self-professed expert who has over 173k followers here and is peddling a book about “mentally-free” people (as in “brainless?) then I lose even more followers. What a coincidence.
Mentally-free. Much like the author himself.
Medium is excellent at weeding out my chaff and maybe yours, too, but not so good for the people who are really scamming the platform.
I have half a mind to tell you who this individual is but I won’t because that would be tantamount to handing Medium the nail for my coffin.
Oh, hell, no. We can’t call out the phonies as that would make Medium look like they’ve dropped the ball. Best to try to point them in the right direction and let them figure it out.
Let me tell you about this individual, heretofore to be known as Gort. As stated, he has over 173k followers according to his profile, which I now believe is about as genuine as he is. He’s following forty-five writers, allegedly, and upon checking a few of them out, have discovered that Gort shills his books on each of their pages. And the ones I’ve checked out have written zilch.
